I have been coming here so much my I have a pewter mug. Enough about me. Year round staple on island. When you walk in you can see and feel the history. It looks like they haven't changed much since open. Beer is a good selection for the about eight they have on tap. Food is not bad pub fare. We usually get some soup and fish and chips. Durning the season I feel like there are better places to eat but off season when most places are not open the fire is always roaring and welcoming.
The beer is really big if you order a tall so that's was fun to see :0

The outside seating was very peaceful in late August so I would recommend that.
Definition of "comfort food" meaning warm and filling and tasty. Delicious daily soup selections! Excellent wait staff.
As for the food- I bought the surf and turf and was a little disappointed that they cut the steak up for me and still me a steak knife. They gave me 5 small shrimp.
Overall it was a nice place but I would order something different.
