Worst dentist on Martha's Vineyard. After presenting my delta dental insurance card and explaining my understanding of the insurance at my first appointment at Dr. Hartleys office, I was told they would look into it. Knowing that they accept delta premium and not my plan, a delta epo plan, they did the work anyway. I later received a bill for almost the entire amount. After filing a complaint with my insurance company and not hearing back for over a month, I called Dr. Hartleys office to check on the status of the bill. He made a point to call me back himself. When I tried to explain I had filed a complaint with my insurance company he interrupted me to tell me, "that wouldn't do any good because that insurance doesn't cover his work". It took me one phone call, after the fact, to learn my epo plan is "out of network", but some how the "dental professionals" over at his office don't know this or just don't care. He told me he is not an insurance expert, that I should be and then threatened to call his lawyer if I didn't pay the bill. I'm just glad I cancelled the other work he recommended before he got to trick me again. By far the worst dental experience I have ever had. I would recommend any other dentist in the world.
