Great atmosphere and crowd, good location and menu. Tasty food. I didn't rate it more highly purely because it stops the 'lunch' service at 3 pm, by which time some of the dishes are sold out anyway. Seems to me a peculiar cut off point, but I'm sure there is a reason for it. Also a 3 star rating because most of the staff are great, but today one (I will NOT name and shame!) seemed to hate customers. We ordered a dish rich in hot chilly flakes and a side of plain toast for our daughter...server carried the two dishes a little unsympathetically and the toast ended up sprinkled in chilly flakes! Perhaps the server had a bad day. Also note that food is taken to your table after ordering it at the till and being given a number, whilst hot drinks need picking up from the same till. A little dysfunctional? Again, there might be a reason for it. I don't work in hospitality!

I've been too many different eateries all across the island and BTB is by far my favorite. Chef Molly Levine heads a terrific staff that strives to provide high quality plates relying heavily on local ingredients. From the excellent breakfast shakshuka to the clam toasts and back to the top notch baked goods back in the cafe, BTB has delicious offerings for all. In addition to the wonderful food, the outdoor garden atmosphere makes it the ideal place to be during the spring, summer, and fall!

A great patio atmosphere that encourages a relaxed upscale Cafe Bistro vibe. Our table ordered almost the entire lunch menu and the youngest member of our party stopped us before eating so she can take pictures for Instagram because the food was so beautiful. The staff started off cold but warmed up to us and we ended up enjoying every aspect of the experience.

This place has an awesome atmosphere. As you walk through the garden to the left of the bookstore, you are greeted by a large canopy which covers the entire cafe area. It's almost surreal compared to the rest of the Edgartown area which is bathed in daylight. We didn't have any of the food, but the iced coffee was delicious, and the canopy shade was a welcome break from the hot sun.

Happened upon this place after a quick browse in the wonderful book store up front. Hot August day around 4:00 and as we settled in for "just one drink ", we realized what an oasis this was. Beautiful shady spot to while away an upscale happy hour with oysters led to a delicious dinner. The music, drinks , food and general vibe, including an appealing staff with a strong sense of humor with a serene committment to excellent service led to a magical evening.....(special thanks to Anna who went out of her way to ensure that we enjoyed our transition from an impromptu happy hour to an elegant dinner!)
